This was very special for me.
I was able to witness and photograph my sister meet her firstborn daughter and watch these two become parents.
There is nothing sweeter than watching a supporting husband during this long and grueling day.
Did I mention this was the day after the birth story I posted below?!
It was a busy and beautiful weekend, that first weekend in October.
This is the story of Piper Anne's arrival to earth...

Birth Photography is so beautiful to me. These photos tell the sweet story of my dear friends meeting their daughter for the first time. I never have to direct or pose, I simply stand back and watch the miracle unfold from behind the lens. It makes me so excited to meet the newest member of our family in just a little over a week!

this was my first birth i have photographed and i have to say, i think i'm hooked.

yes, there was a lot of down time. yes, the hospital lighting is not ideal, but the real emotion in these photos make them the most authentic photos i have ever taken.

this is real life. and real life is a beautiful thing.

thanks to adam & chelsey, i was able to witness their little miracle enter the world.

i hope they always look back on these photos and remember all the emotions that they felt the day their life changed forever. thanks for letting me share some of my favorites.
